Snowflake Vs. Reddit: Which Tech Stock Is Better?

Reddit and Snowflake are two big names in the US tech sector. If you had to choose, would you go with Reddit stock or Snowflake stock?

Reddit is a network of online communities that attracts millions of visitors every single day. On the other hand, Snowflake is a cloud platform for data storage and analytics.

Reddit

Reddit is a community-based platform. It allows users to create and curate content. Most of the revenue comes from the advertising on the site and the app.

However, Reddit is now also licensing its data to AI companies for AI training. But one key risk for Reddit is the customer concentration in its ad business. Around 21% of the total revenue comes from the top 10 advertisers.

In the financial year ending on 31 Dec 2025, Reddit's revenue was $2.2 billion. That's an increase of 69.4% y/y, which is very good.

Another good thing that happened during the period was that Reddit achieved profitability. Its net income was $529.7 million.

The current ratio of Reddit is around 11.6x, which is also quite good. This shows Reddit is in a robust financial condition.

Snowflake

Snowflake is all about AI, data, and cloud. It allows large firms to store massive amounts of data on its cloud computers.

Snowflake runs on a consumption-based model. This means users only pay for the resources they have used, as compared to a flat monthly fee.

Snowflake has around 13328 customers. What's interesting is that it includes 790 companies from the Forbes Global 2000. Snowflake also has partnerships with other cloud services like Amazon.

The revenue of Snowflake in the fiscal year (ended on 31 Jan 2026) was $4.7 billion. This represents a growth of 29.2% y/y. However, Snowflake had a net loss of around $1.3 billion during the same period.

Reddit Is The Better Stock

After looking at the business model and the financials, it is clear that Reddit is the better stock. One thing that Reddit has going on for itself is its data licensing business. On top of that, it already has a fast-growing advertising business.
