Silver (XAG/USD) Price Forecasts For The Long Term

Everyone was talking about Silver (XAG/USD) during the first few months of this year. However, the optimism has faded away, and now it is trading more than 45% below its peak from January.

A quick look at the forecasts from different banks and analysts also shows a big divide. Some think Silver will rally while others think the prices will come down.

Silver Will Cross $100 - Bank of America

J.P. Morgan maintains a bullish forecast. According to them, the target for Silver is $81 during 2026. They also added that high Silver prices will eventually hurt industrial consumption. As a result, J.P. Morgan expects greater volatility in Silver prices.

Meanwhile, ING has set a target of $74 for silver in Q4 2026. ING also added that they expect Silver to outperform gold in the medium to long term. The reason for this is the market deficits and the ongoing electrification trend.

ING has set a target price of $79 for Silver in 2027. On the other hand, HSBC thinks the average price of silver will be$75 in 2026. In 2027, they expect the price to move down to $68.

HSBC commented that the physical deficit of Silver will narrow. The higher prices will discourage jewelry, industrial consumption, and investment. Meanwhile, higher prices will encourage new supply that will eventually correct the market imbalance.

Bank of America thinks Silver will rally above $100 by the end of 2026. However, they think prices will come down to $75 by Q2 2027.

BoA analysts believe that a rally in Gold will also help silver. However, they also warned about easing fundamental demand that will eventually weigh on silver prices.

In fact, Bank of America thinks that the supply deficit we see in 2026 will shrink by 90%. This clearly shows that the bank believes that the market imbalance won't last long.

The most bullish forecast is from Citigroup. They have set a target of $110 for Silver for the end of 2026. Amidst all of this, there is also Commerzbank, which has set a target of $67 for the end of 2026.
