This AI Power Stock Could Double Its Revenue

Vertiv Holdings designs and builds digital infrastructure of critical nature. This includes cooling and power systems, which are essential for AI data centers.

In 2025, Vertiv Holdings generated net sales of $10.2 billion. In order to reach $20.4 billion in annual revenue, Vertiv Holdings would need to grow its revenue by 18.9% per annum.

Vertiv Holdings Provides Power And Cooling Systems

According to VRT, its 2026 sales will be $13.8 - $14.2 billion. This tells us that the revenue must grow 13.5% per year over the next 3 years to double the sales numbers.

The management is targeting sales growth of 20%-22% from 2025 to 2030. This seems doable as Vertiv is enjoying strong demand due to the AI build-out.

Vertiv closed the year 2025 with a backlog of $15 billion. That's more than the company's entire revenue in 2025. That's quite reassuring, but we must remember that orders can be rescheduled or even cancelled. But given the strong demand, Vertiv could easily replace them with new orders.

The reality is that AI data centers need a lot of power. With the rise in computing density, it is becoming hard to power and cool the data centers. All of this means strong demand for the power and cooling services of Vertiv.

The data from Q2 shows that VRT revenue has increased by 24% y/y. This is quite good and highlights that Vertiv will stay busy for the next 5-6 years.

Also, some complex projects were slowed down due to their sheer size and supply chain congestion. So, some of the sales were delayed and could be included in upcoming data.

The bottom line is that demand for integrated infrastructure, power systems, and cooling systems is already high. This will skyrocket to new highs as new data centers are being built.

So, you can consider buying Vertiv stock if you want to ride the AI power and cooling trend. The only thing to keep in mind is that VRT must keep winning new projects to maintain and improve its growth rate.
