AMD Market Cap Could Reach $3 Trillion

AMD's market cap just crossed the $1 trillion threshold for the first time. This also highlights that Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is no longer a player that can be ignored.

AMD's market cap first crossed the $1 billion level back in 2020. Since then, the AMD stock has skyrocketed and reached new highs. Most of the growth in AMD came due to the AI boom. In fact, the same can be said about Nvidia.

AMD Can Sustain Strong Growth Till 2030

Analysts think that AMD has what it takes to sustain its strong growth in the next 5 years. In fact, there's a solid chance that AMD might even reach a market cap of $3 trillion by 2030.

AMD has found growth in multiple areas, and that's a good thing. AMD makes chips for gaming consoles, PCs, and data centers.

Experts think the demand for generative AI PCs will only grow in the coming years. So, AMD can expect strong growth in the PC market.

A report from Mercury Research says that AMD's CPU market share reached 30.3% in Q2 2026. That's a big increase, as the reading was 23.9% during the same time last year. AMD is actually taking the market share away from Intel.

However, the gaming business of AMD is not doing so well. The revenue was down 31% y/y and was recorded at $779 million. However, it could change soon once the new generation of gaming consoles hits the market.

Sony and Microsoft are the two big names in gaming consoles. Both of them will continue to use AMD's semi-custom processors for the upcoming gaming consoles. So, we can expect strong growth in that department very soon.

According to analysts, the EPS growth of AMD will reach 105% in 2027. In the next few years, analysts are also bullish on EPS growth.

If AMD can manage an EPS growth of 66% in 2029 and 2030, it could change everything. The EPS could touch $61.37 by 2030.

If AMD stock traded at a P/E of 34 times in 2030, it would easily put its trading price near $2086. And that's how AMD could join the $3 trillion club.
