Silver Price Forecast For 2027 - UBS

According to UBS, the silver price will be near $70 by the end of 2027. In early 2027, the bank expects silver prices to reach $75. In September 2027, the silver price will touch $80.

This silver forecast from UBS comes at a time when the US Federal Reserve is showing no signs of any rate cuts. Instead, the central bank is actually raising rates.

Silver Can Touch $80 In 2027

Against this backdrop, this forecast for Silver seems very odd. After all, periods of higher rates are good for the US Dollar but not so much for non-yielding assets like Silver and Gold.

Despite the high rates in the USA, the bank remains confident in its silver price forecasts. The 2027 target for Silver means an upside of more than 20% from the current levels.

UBS added that silver prices will recover gradually over the coming quarters. At the same time, they made it clear that caution is needed as silver is known for its extreme volatility.

That's why investors should also consider the high volatility when building any long-term position in silver. UBS also highlighted that silver will get support from gold.

At the same time, the tight physical support will also provide support to silver. So, this is also a factor that will support silver prices in the coming months.

Earlier, the bank had warned that higher silver prices will lower consumption. However, even lower consumption won't be enough to push down prices.

Looking ahead, the next direction of silver will depend a lot on US inflation data and interest rates. For now, the chances of a dovish policy from the US Federal Reserve are very slim. The US labor market also remains tight, as evidenced by the reports of the last few months.

A softer inflation print will make it easy for silver to reach its first target of $70. On the other hand, a stronger inflation reading means silver will need more time to reach its target.
