Silver Can Reach $80 In 2027 - UBS

According to UBS, Silver prices will reach $70 by the end of 2026. The bank added that white metal will advance to $75 during the first few months of 2027. By September 2027, UBS has set a target of $80 for silver (XAG/USD).

The bank thinks that Silver will be near $75 by June 2027. The overall targets for the end of 2026 and next year (2027) are all bullish. This also means we can expect higher Gold prices in the coming quarters.

Higher Gold Prices Will Help Silver

The final target for silver means an upside of almost 21% from the current levels. UBS made it clear that silver prices will not go up rapidly. Instead, the bank expects a gradual recovery in silver prices.

The bank also warned that traders must consider the extreme volatility of silver. So, the path to the upside may not be a smooth ride. UBS also added that caution must be exercised and it may be too early for long-term exposure to silver.

UBS commented that Gold prices are also set to move higher in the coming months. Higher gold prices will also benefit silver and will improve the fundamentals.

UBS said that silver prices will establish near the $75 handle first. After that, silver prices will move higher towards the next target.

The bank also talked about how high prices have reduced the demand for jewellery and silverware. There are estimates that the demand may go down by 50 million ounces.

Amidst all of this, we must also consider the fact that Silver's upside will depend on interest rate expectations and US inflation.

Higher inflation will make it difficult for silver to reach its target. An increase in inflation means the Fed will have to raise rates. This will strengthen the US Dollar but will be a nightmare for silver.

Meanwhile, softer inflation will allow the Fed to lower the policy rate. In turn, this will help silverreach its target easily.
