It provided over 13% of the quarterly income for Netflix. In Q1 2022, revenue from the Asia-Pacific area climbed by 20.3% to $917 million. With close to 12% of the business's revenue, Asia-Pacific continued to be Netflix's area with the highest growth throughout the quarter.

Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in early March 2022, Netflix halted its service in that country. According to reports, the business employed one million Russians, some of whom are already suing Netflix in Russia for discontinuing the service.
