Raspberry Pi Stock Price At Record Highs. Is It A Buy?

Raspberry Pi (RPI) is one of the prodigies in the FTSE 250. The YTD gains of Raspberry Pi stock are now more than 140%. So, is it too late to buy Raspberry Pi shares, or can you still ride the bullish train?

One reason behind the strong bullish run in the Raspberry Pi shares price is its strong results. The revenue during 1H2026 was almost $257 million, with an increase of 90%. The EBITDA during the same period was $40.3 million, with an increase of 108%.

Raspberry Pi Sold Record Units

Overall, Raspberry Pi shipped 4.2 million units during 1H2026. Meanwhile, the backlog has almost doubled and is now sitting at 2.6 million chip units. What's more impressive is the gross profit per board, which has reached 53%.

Raspberry Pi has also released 5 new products. This also includes the Raspberry Pi AI-capable chip. This includes local AI generative features. This means customers can now run LLMs and other AI models on the boards.

However, the one risk associated with this is the higher board and memory prices. Raspberry Pi has almost consumed its inventory of cheap memory and will now have to buy new at a high price.

But that's a problem which is faced by both small and big rivals. In fact, the small rivals are finding it difficult to even get the memory chips. So, Raspberry Pi is in a strong position to retain and even gain new market share.

Analysts think the AI HAT+ 2 will prove to be a game changer for the Raspberry Pi. This would also allow the Raspberry Pi to ride the AI bandwagon.

Raspberry Pi Connect is also gaining popularity, which is an IoT platform. So, that can also prove to be a strong source of recurring revenue for the company.

There's no doubt that Raspberry Pi stock is expensive. But Raspberry Pi stock is worth considering when we look at its growth prospects. The Raspberry Pi stock price stands to gain a lot due to tailwinds from the defense and AI sectors.
