2 Quantum Stocks to Buy For The Long Term

One thing most quantum investors have in common is that they have no regard for valuation metrics like P/E. They just keep buying quantum computing stocks in hopes that quantum computing will become big one day.

So, if you are willing to invest in this new tech for the long term, then these are two quantum computing stocks that you should pay attention to. These are Rigetti Computing and Infleqtion.

Rigetti Computing

Rigetti Computing wants to build a fully operational quantum computer. It could be used to solve the most advanced problems. The company already has the support of the US government.

Rigetti Computing got $100 million from the US government funding. This funding has allowed the US government to have an stake in the company.

So, in a sense, the government is spending on Rigetti Computing. It is also offering financial incentives despite the fact that Rigetti Computing continues to stay a loss-making entity.

According to Rigetti Computing, the overall quantum industry could be worth $850 billion by 2040. So, if Rigetti Computing can manage to tap even a portion of that, it could turn it into a profitable entity.

In Q2, Rigetti Computing had an operating loss of $28.1 million. Some of the top customers of Rigetti Computing are NASA, Microsoft, and Amazon.

Infleqtion

The company also has government customers and is a key player in the quantum industry. Infleqtion got $20 million from the government agency NASA. The money is to help NASA with the mission involving quantum gravity. NASA plans to launch the 1st senor for quantum gravity, and Infleqtion will help them with it.

According to analysts, once quantum computing hits mainstream, Infleqtion could easily become a market leader. The company has also partnered with Nvidia. It will help Nvidia to include quantum computing into existing data centers.

In theory, this would help build a hybrid data center. Experts think this is more viable than making separate facilities for quantum and AI.

The bottom line is that quantum computing is still in its early stages and has yet to be profitable. But if you want to get in early on this new age of computers, then you can consider buying Infleqtion and Rigetti.
