Gold Could Rise To $5296 In 2027 - RBC

According to RBC, gold (XAU/USD) will close 2026 near $4929. For 2027. RBC has set a target price of $5296 for gold. Overall, RBC has a bullish view on Gold because of continued interest from central banks and investors.

RBC added that Gold will spend most of its time in the 4500 - 5000 range. The bank has issued this forecast with a high conviction.

Central Banks Demand Remains High

If we look at the Gold chart, it came under pressure recently. However, it didn't change the long-term outlook for gold at all.

In fact, the bank thinks any stress in the US bond market will be positive for gold. In fact, even the elevated yields will not be enough to stop Gold prices from rising higher.

RBC commented that a key reason for the bullish forecast is that actual buying has returned. The data from Q3 shows strong inflows into gold and gold ETFs.

For the year 2026, RBC thinks the net ETP inflows will be around 208 tonnes. Also, the recent data shows positive inflows as well.

Amidst all of this, central buying will also continue to support gold prices. RBC thinks the demand from central banks will rise even further in 2027.

RBC also made clear that Gold is not something that only exists in the imagination or computer memory. They added that it didn't just fall from a coconut tree. We must view Gold in the context of uncertainty, concern, and the macro landscape.

For the medium term, the ideal range for Gold is $4500 - $5000. The yellow metal will eventually cross the upper limit of that range in 2027.

When we consider the current Gold prices, it is clear that there's serious upside ahead. This could also mean strong returns for the investors who take an entry at the current levels.

One thing that could invalidate this thesis is further rate hikes from the US Federal Reserve. But until that happens, the path of least resistance for Gold is upwards.
