Bitcoin ETFs Show Strong Inflows. Should You Buy Bitcoin?

Strong inflows worth $2.39 billion into the Bitcoin ETFs were recorded recently. Analysts think this is one of the strongest weekly inflows since 2015. This clearly highlights that more people are buying Bitcoin.

Despite all the optimism, Bitcoin is still trading a long distance away from its ATH near $126K. So, is it a good time to buy Bitcoin in hopes that it revisits the ATH?

Bitcoin Faces Multiple Risks

The reality is that Bitcoin and the rest of the crypto market are still under pressure. The key negative factors that weigh on the market are high Treasury yields and rising interest rates. These things have driven investors away from risky assets like Bitcoin.

Bitcoin also faces competition from stablecoins. The stablecoins are pegged to fiat currencies, thus allowing people to use crypto without any extra volatility. There is also a risk that quantum computers could be used to break the private keys of Bitcoin wallets.

Another question to answer is why the inflows into Bitcoin ETFs have increased. For starters, the US national debt has crossed the $40 trillion limit. It is clear that investors are trying to hedge against the risk that the US Dollar will be devalued in the long run.

So, should you buy Bitcoin? The recent increase in inflows is a sign that Bitcoin is now in the green territory. However, the Fed doesn't appear to be in the mood to lower rates. In fact, the Fed might go ahead with more rate hikes in 2027.

So, for now, you should avoid buying Bitcoin. But once the Fed signals that it is ready to lower rates, you can then consider buying it. Also, any developments on the regulatory front or the passing of new crypto-related bills can also be taken as a signal to buy Bitcoin.
