Xrp Will Drop To Near $1 In 2026

According to different analysts, the XRP is expected to face multiple headwinds in 2026. So, there's a good chance that the altcoin will drop to around $1 in 2026.

If we look back, XRP has actually managed to outperform Bitcoin & several other cryptocurrencies. However, that will change in 2026 as analysts believe that XRP is now headed back towards $1.

Xrp Faces Multiple Headwinds

The rise in XRP during 2025 was due to a number of reasons. The first catalyst was when Donald Trump was elected, as he promised crypto-friendly regulations.

Another catalyst for XRP was the end of the litigation between Ripple and the US government. So, the ending of the legal troubles also provided a big push to the XRP price.

However, the bullish sentiment in XRP is coming to an end, and the digital currency is likely to drop towards $1. For starters, the adoption rate of XRP isn't as good as everyone was making it out to be.

For now, 300+ financial institutions are using RippleNet for cross-border payments. Meanwhile, 11000 institutions are using the SWIFT system to make cross-border payments. So even in the next few years, it won't be easy for XRP to even surpass the SWIFT system.

Another major issue is that XRP is not needed to facilitate payments in the RippleNet system. So, that's also something that weighs on the XRP price in the long run.

Last but not least, XRP isn't actually the best solution when it comes to cross-border payments. On average, it can take 3 to 5 seconds to send a payment using the XRP. Meanwhile, payment can be validated and settled in just 400 milliseconds using Solana.

So, when it comes to the average settlement time, Stellar (XLM) is actually leagues ahead of XRP. That's why it is safe to say that all of these realities will finally catch up to XRP, and the digital currency will drop towards its fair value.
