This Tech Stock Will Go Parabolic

Normally, we look at new names in the tech sector when looking for stocks that can go parabolic. However, investing in such companies also comes with massive risks, but does promise big upside too!

One such company in the tech sector that has huge upside potential is IonQ. This company works in the quantum computing space, which is supposedly the next big thing after AI.

Ionq - A Big Name In Quantum Computing

The IonQ plans to become the next Nvidia, but for quantum computing. So, just like Nvidia is integral for the AI sector, IonQ wants to be like that!

The IonQ is working on developing a supporting ecosystem as well as the hardware for quantum computing. They are so serious that they are also making acquisitions to establish dominance.

So, whether it is the talent or the technology, IonQ is really serious about staying at the forefront. The recent acquisitions from IonQ include Cpella, Vector Atomic, and Lightsynq.

This will allow the IonQ to get satellite-based distribution and high-speed networking on its side. At the same time, the acquisition means IonQ can now also use the quantum sensing tech.

So, IonQ is making big progress on the ground, and there's no doubt they are serious. But despite this, it's also a reality that investing in IonQ stock remains a risk.

IonQ had a revenue of $28.3 million during the 1H2025 but burned almost $89 million. So, they are spending more money and not earning enough revenue to stay profitable.

But it's normal for companies like IonQ, which are still in the early stages. If we look around, many big tech stocks were like and now they are massively profitable.

According to experts, the AI models are getting more complex day by day. There will come a day when quantum computing will be needed to handle the workloads.

And when that happens, the one company that stands to benefit the most is IonQ. In fact, even Nvidia's CEO has talked about how quantum computing is close to an inflection point.
