Two Predictions for Stock Market In 2026

Different people have different forecasts for the stock market in the year 2026. Some say the markets will crash while other says that the AI bubble will eventually burst.

According to a group of analysts, there are two things that will happen this year. The first one is that Gemini's market share will increase this year. Another prediction is that a crash or a correction in the market is highly likely.

Gemini Market Share Will Increase

OpenAI was the first company to kick off the AI trend, and today the market is worth hundreds of billions of dollars. But the data shows that Gemini, made by Alphabet, is slowly increasing its market share.

In 2025, the market share of Gemini has increased from a mere 5% to almost 18%. On the other hand, the market share of ChatGPT is down from 87% to around 68%.

According to experts, the market share of Gemini will increase further this year. This is probably why even Apple has picked Gemini to power its AI assistant Siri.

This market shift is a solid reason to start buying Alphabet's shares this year. After all, AI is the talk of the town, and it appears that Alphabet's Gemini is now getting the center stage.

The Markets Could Crash

A big fear in the market is that we are now in an AI bubble and it will eventually burst. When that happens, the market will crash, and that's a guarantee.

But even if we don't get a full crash, a correction of around 10% is still on the cards. If we look at the history, a correction always happens every 1-2 years.

Even the S&P 500 chart shows that corrections are a normal part of the market. So, what happens after the correction? If the conditions improve, then the market could bounce back. But if the situation doesn't get better, then the correction could turn into a crash.

The last time we saw a market correction was in early 2025. So if we take that as a guide, then we can expect another correction in the 2nd half of 2026.
