 Greggs Share Price Will Recover

Greggs Share Price Will Recover This Year?

Greggs shares lost 40% of their overall value in 2025. Now, everyone is wondering if Greggs' share price can recover in 2026 or will be another year of loss.

If we look at the past decade, Greggs has always regarded as a growth stock. The company's revenue increased in double digits, while the profits also climbed. In addition, the Greggs stores also expanded across the UK.

Greggs Revenue Growth Is In Single Digits

But now, it appears that the business of Greggs is maturing. For starters, the revenue growth has started to show signs of slowdown, and the earnings momentum is also fading away.

According to the forecasts, the EPS is also expected to decline in 2026, which shows that things are not looking good for Greggs.

Also, Greggs is pretty much everywhere in the UK with thousands of stores. So, there's every little space left in the UK to exploit, which makes growth even harder.

Greggs also tried to expand internationally, but even that didn't pan out right. At a fundamental level, Greggs is a domestic business, and that's something the company understands now.

Another thing that is going against Greggs is that people are now shifting towards healthier options. Although Greggs has also introduced salad options, it is a baking company at its core. After all, nobody associates Greggs with salads & that's something which can't be changed.

But the biggest problem of all is Greggs P/E ratio, which is now sitting at 13.5. This doesn't look cheap when we compare it with the earnings growth number, which is still in the low single digits.

All of these things tell us that Greggs' share price is still high even though it is at a multi-year low. So, the safest option is to look elsewhere as there are so many good stocks in the UK market.

In fact, even the dividend yield of Greggs is not enough to consider buying the shares. So, the bottom line is that the chances of a recovery in the Greggs Share price are very low!
