Bitcoin Forecast For Next 3 Years

There's no doubt that Bitcoin (BTC) leads the crypto market. Also, it is often the first choice for investors who want to dip their toes in the market.

In the last 5 years, the value of Bitcoin (BTC) has increased by 430% which highlights the investors' trust in it. But, the performance of Bitcoin (BTC) was not so good as it ended the year with a -7.3% return.

Bitcoin To Hit $250,000 In Next 3 Years

This performance in 2025 has led many to wonder where Bitcoin (BTC) is headed in the next few years. A quick look at the analysts' forecasts shows there are both bull and bear cases for Bitcoin (BTC).

The first key thing that can propel Bitcoin higher is the institutional backing from banks and firms. The first Bitcoin ETF was launched in 2024, which made it easy for even everyday investors to buy the cryptocurrency.

In fact, even Morgan Stanley has recently announced that it will be launching its own Bitcoin ETF. Similarly, they are also going to do the same for Solana and Ethereum.

Morgan Stanley also allowed some of its customers to include some cryptocurrencies in their respective portfolios. So, this is a very welcoming shift and shows that Bitcoin has hit the mainstream.

According to the bullish forecasts, Bitcoin will be near $250,000 by the end of 2028. Some of the more extreme bull cases put Bitcoin near $1 million in the next 3 years.

But we must also consider the fact that these forecasts are not always true. For example, JPMorgan predicted that Bitcoin would close the year 2025 near $165,000. However, the coin was near the $90K handle by the end of 2025.

Meanwhile, the analysts from Citigroup believe that a global recession will send Bitcoin lower towards $78,000. So,if there is a global recession, then we can say goodbye to the $150K or even the $100K handle.

For now, it can be difficult to forecast where Bitcoin is headed, considering the analysts are saying so many different things.
