Solana blockchain has become the go-to choice for AI assistant projects. But why? Because of the Soalana's low cost and the easy scaling.
recent report has revealed that around 70% of the AI assistant projects are being operated on Solana. There's no doubt that the low cost and the easy handling of large transaction volumes have helped Solana.
The AI agents are designed to do a lot of sophisticated tasks. Including making decisions and acting as a bridge between the digital systems and people.
It seems even Binance has listed some of these AI agents, including Zerebro, ai16z, and Griffain. The most prominent one is GRIFFAIN, which has gained almost 19% in a short span of time.
Similarly, ZEREBRO is up by 4%, while the AI16z has gained almost 14%. This is a sign that these AI coins built on Solana are gaining a lot of traction.
However, most of these AI agents are still in their early stages, with a collective market cap of $3.95 billion. When compared with the total market cap of crypto, the AI agents only make for around 0.11%.
One particular project which has posted good growth is Virtual Protocol Virtuals Protocol, built on the ETH. This project reached a $4.62 billion market cap but then dropped to $1.92 billion. Another coin which has gained popularity is Bixby, which has gained 45.2% upside in a short span of time.
The popularity of AI agents has also raised a popular question: The hype of AI agents is based on reality, or is it just a marketing gimmick that will fade eventually?
We still don't know the answer to that question, but it does give us an idea... Solana is used extensively on these projects which means it will have strong demand in the upcoming quarters. So, we can expect a big jump in the Solana prices as the market cap of AI agents increase.
