We found 11 online brokers that are appropriate for Trading Brokers.
In every aspect of life, having a ground knowledge in what you are doing significantly improves your chances. It is equally as important in business and trading. This Forex trading guide would probably be useful to many novice traders who wish to make money by investing in the financial markets.
Beginners usually find Forex trading a difficult task and this is because of unrealistic expectations. They take an entry to the financial market with some common questions such as how to find out about it from the start.
There are a couple of important and trending terminologies which should be known as well as understood before stepping into Forex trading. These are discussed below:
Buying and selling of real currencies is known as spot Forex. Assume that a trader buys $100 in exchange for GBP and sells it when the value increases. The difference of buy and sell is his profit.
CFD is an abbreviation of Contract for Difference and real currencies are not bought or sold in this instrument. It is in fact a contract made with a CFD provider or a broker to take advantage of the price movements. CFDs are also available in other instruments including bonds, stocks, commodities and indices.
The base unit in the currency pair price is known as pip. In digit, it is like 0.0001. So, if the bid price of two currencies goes from 1.16667 to 1.16677, this represents one pip. The second last digit has shifted from 6 to 7, which means 1 pip.
This represents the buy and sell price difference of the currency pair. The spread is low for popular currency pairs and high for less famous currency pairs. This means the pip for most popular pairs are generally low compared to less popular pairs. For instance if the buy price is 1.14988 and the sell price is 1.14998, the difference is 1 pip.
The initial capital required to open a trading account or position is known as margin. In a leveraged product, it is low, sometimes as low as 5% or 10% of the trading volume.
Leverage is a concept in Forex trading in which the trader pays just a small amount of the trading volume and the rest is borrowed by the broker. The pros side of leverage is that the trader receives exposure to the total trade value even though his margin is low, sometimes even as low as 5%. The profit is magnified here but the cons are that the loss is also magnified.
Following the terminologies let us understand some of the processes involved in Forex trading.
Regarding Forex, there are two factors while trading - ask and bid prices. The purchase price is the ask price while the sale price is the bid price.
When a trader buys a currency believing its value will rise up and he can make a profit from the difference between buy and sell.
When a trader sells a currency believing the price will fall and he can buy back the same at a decreased value. He will benefit from the price difference.
Once understood the above it is important to understand the trading systems. There is a broad spectrum of such strategies available. Below are a few debated:
This is buying and selling pairs for a shorter period like from a few seconds to a few hours. Traders look for this strategy to accumulate smaller profits throughout the day.
This is a conservative approach to trading and beginners may avoid it. Trades are opened for a few hours and the trades need to close on the same day.
This is a medium-term trading approach. Larger price movements are focused compared to both scalping and intraday. The positions are opened for a few days or a few weeks. This is perfect for beginners.
Trading platforms or trading software play an important role. Before striking a deal with brokers it is necessary to know what platform is being offered. A better platform means better security and better analysis. MT4 is one of the widely used trading platforms.
Beginners are suggested to know the pros and cons of Forex trading before investing their hard-earned savings. Half-knowledge may ruin the investment and profits may be a distance away. It is important that you read the Forex trading guide and understand the terminologies.
Traders should always take a note that Forex trading is a highly risky product and proper risk-management tools need to be utilized to lower the chances of loss.
