We found 11 online brokers that are appropriate for Trading Bitcoin Investment Platforms.

Bitcoin is the most popular and largest cryptocurrency in the world. Introduced in 2009, it paved the path of digital currencies. It is not a physical currency and only made available in a digital form. In the years since, its value has increased by many folds. In 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown, its demand was further accelerated when most of the financial products performed in a negative direction. In October 2025, it hit an all-time high of $126,198.
Several merchants and payment gateways now accept Bitcoin as a mode of payment. PayPal Holdings Inc., one of the largest digital wallets in the world, lets users check out with cryptocurrency. The cryptos on offer include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin. This means that a buyer holding any of these four coins can make payments to millions of merchants registered on the PayPal platform.
After confirmation of purchase, the platform converts the crypto coin to fiat, and the customer receives a payment receipt as well as a crypto sale record. I have watched PayPal continue to expand the utility of cryptocurrency through this feature since it first launched. Tesla Inc. has also, at various points, signalled openness to accepting Bitcoin for cars.
Now, the question that strikes Bitcoin enthusiasts is whether the currency can serve as a store of value and also as a medium of exchange. In other words, there is concern about whether Bitcoin can be transformed into a stable and convenient way to transact, given that its price has climbed by more than 15,000 per cent since it was first introduced in 2009.
Some of the true believers of cryptocurrency preach over social media the concept of HODLing (read as holding) based on the price of the crypto coins' anticipated rise. This comes from the prospect of cryptocurrencies developing into the future of payment methods.
As of now, it is not clear who, among the cryptocurrency crowd, would be interested in offloading some of their Bitcoin to buy products, or making these payments through PayPal instead of making payments through dollars, euros or yen.
It is not a matter of saving taxes, as PayPal's terms and conditions make clear that payments made through crypto coins are similarly taxable.
It is also not backed by the USD in settling transactions; several stablecoins are dollar backed, but Bitcoin itself is not. It is hard for me to see cryptocurrency users choosing to make everyday payments through Bitcoin rather than holding it.
In 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10,000 Bitcoins to buy just two pizzas. At today's price, those 10,000 Bitcoins would be worth more than $770 million. This means, if he had not bought the two pizzas with the crypto, he would be hundreds of millions of dollars better off.
He has said publicly that he does not regret the purchase, treating it as part of Bitcoin's founding folklore rather than a financial decision he would reverse.
Cryptocurrency brokers have long suggested that paying for everyday goods with Bitcoin will become rarer as its value climbs. However, it cannot be imagined that fiat currency will soon become extinct either.
Meanwhile, Federal Reserve policy continues to weigh inflation targets against growth, and this may not by itself cause the dollar to lose its status. One factor worth watching is that purchasing power can still erode gradually even without a sudden loss of confidence.
The current value of Bitcoin is about $77,300, having climbed sharply over the past week on the back of a US Treasury debt buyback announcement and renewed political momentum behind crypto legislation in Congress. I expect the price to keep swinging with headlines like these through the rest of the year, given how sensitive the market remains to interest rate expectations and regulatory news.
When considering Bitcoin payments through PayPal, I would still argue against paying for everyday goods in Bitcoin while using the e-wallet. PayPal opened the doors of cryptocurrency in its payment method some years ago, and it continues to accept payments in Bitcoin today.
In my view it is better to pay in dollars, euros, yen or other fiat currencies instead of Bitcoin, since its price history shows sharp swings in both directions, and holding rather than spending has historically been the more profitable path.
Since launching in 2009, Bitcoin's price has risen by more than 15,000 per cent, though it remains a highly volatile asset that has, at times, fallen by tens of thousands of dollars within a few months. I believe the growth story will continue, but so will the volatility, as demand for cryptocurrencies keeps expanding alongside a much bigger shift now underway in computing itself.
