We found 11 online brokers that are appropriate for Trading Bitcoin Forex Crypto Brokers.
Forex is the largest financial market in the world. It is traded 24-hours a day from Monday to Friday with an average daily turnover of more than $6 trillion. It is the trading of currency in pairs and it is decentralised and the most liquid market in the world. It is volatile and not under the control of any one authority or government. The volatility arises due to various factors like breaking financial news, political situations and public sentiments.
Lately, Bitcoin cryptocurrency has been introduced in the market. Many so-called Bitcoin Forex brokers have started accepting deposits in crypto coins, mostly in Bitcoins. They are facilitating the withdrawal of the cryptocurrencies too.
In this article titled Bitcoin Forex Brokers, let us have a look at the prospects of digital currency in the Forex market and let us try to understand the advantages and disadvantages of using Bitcoins in the foreign exchange market.
Before thinking of trading Forex with cryptocurrencies, it is important to understand conventional Forex trade. It is an exchange of one currency with another at the exchange rate. American tourists visiting Japan need to exchange the USD with JPY for local spending. The real value of currencies fluctuates all the time and this gives an advantage to Forex traders.
If an American trader bets that the GBP would lose value against the USD, he trades the currency and this is known as trading on GBP/USD. The GBP here is the base currency. Suppose he deposits $100 and gets £50 at an exchange rate of $1 = £0.5. If the rate moves to 0.45, he may close the position to 50/0.45 = $111.11. He then makes a profit of 11.11 percent.
Even though Forex is a decentralised market, the decentralisation of cryptocurrency is different. The currencies in Forex are backed by central banks of countries and these banks try to stabilise the value and keep the currencies stable.
The cryptocurrencies lack such support from any central authority, central bank, government or agency.
Bitcoin Forex brokers accept an initial deposit in Bitcoins to start Forex trading. If the current value of 1 Bitcoin is $7,500, a 2 Bitcoin deposit means $15,000. If a trader takes a position in GBP at the exchange rate of £0.5 = $1, he gets $7,500. Later, when the GBP/USD rate moves to 0.45, he squares up the position and gets $1,666.65. He then makes a profit of 11.11 percent.
Now, if the USD rate has moved meanwhile and 1 Bitcoin is equal to $8,500, he receives 1.961 Bitcoins while cashing out. The $16,666.65 earning is divided by $8,500, which is the new exchange rate.
Even though the trader earned from the GBP and made 11.11 percent profit, he lost 2 percent from the fluctuations in the Bitcoins to the USD. His initial deposit was 2 Bitcoins and he cashed out 1.961 Bitcoins and suffered a loss of 0.039 Bitcoin.
However, if the fluctuation had been 1 Bitcoin = $7,000, he would gain 19.1 percent. His final cash out would have then been 2.381 Bitcoins.
Bitcoin is highly volatile and the same thing goes for most cryptocurrencies. In this article titled Bitcoin Forex Brokers, we tried to figure out the pros and cons of cryptocurrencies used in Forex trading. The clubbing of two volatile instruments makes the trading extremely unpredictable and this is the reason it is not recommended for beginners and novice traders. A good experience of both the markets is required before initiating the first position of currency pair with Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency in the world, launched in 2009. Today, after about a decade, the market is flooded with thousands of cryptocurrencies. Some of the major ones to name here include Ethereum, Litecoin and Dogecoin.
