We found 11 online brokers that are appropriate for Trading USTECH Index Investment Platforms.
The USTECH Index 100 is popular among spread betters and CFD traders. The term 'USTECH Index' is simply the alternate name of the NASDAQ 100 or NDX 100 market in the United States. It is a hi-tech market composed of mainly some of the famous Silicon Valle companies dealing in technology products like computing, electronics and aerospace. This is the reason many people refer to it as the USTECH Index.
The NASDAQ 100 is a modified capitalisation-weighted index composed of 102 equity securities that are issued by one hundred of the largest and companies listed on the NASDAQ stock market.
Established in 1971, the NASDAQ market is credited with being the first electronic stock exchange in the world and has no physical exchange building. The NASDAQ 100 or USTECH Index 100 was founded in 1985. It was a notional starting value then and thereafter gradually progressed and grew into what it is now.
The USTECH Index is price-weighted and cannot be affected by any individual or the so-called market makers as seen in conventional stock exchanges. It is, however, highly affected by breaking events and news in North America like interest rate announcements, non-farm payroll and unemployment. Changes in taxes and incentives also play important roles in moving the index significantly. Alternative energy and energy efficiency, popular topics in recent years, directly impact the index.
It is a hi-tech index and hence a favourite of such investors who look for technological offerings and improvements for a boost. It has been witnessed for more than a decade that new products like the Apple iPhone lift the index and the bump is ususlly around Christmas time as the sale of gadgets increases for gifting purposes.
Some argue the USTECH Index is not a highly volatile index, but that it is mild. However, it is not guaranteed that the index will always move in a mild manner. The beginning of the 21st century showed a terrible bubble in high-tech. This resulted in a hammering over the index. Even in recent years, it has not become any quieter. It has ranged from more than 1000 to about 2500 in the past three years.
Spread bettors find the USTECH Index to be one of the best trading places and believe in the success of putting some effort into the speculating. If the index is volatile, the profit opportunities are greater. However, volatility also welcomes risk.
There is a general guideline for traders here. They should be well equipped with a strategy or trading plan that works well and has even proved positive in their previous testing to ensure the technical indicators are worth it. Moreover, the plan or strategy should be firm and well-known in terms of where to exit instead of a trader waiting and watching for reverse markets and suffering a large loss.
USTECH Index spread speculation is always exciting as the technology development announcements are very frequent and it is directly reflected in the index. Hence, it is always suggested that you commit some of your spare time to reading about the breaking news, events and other announcements.
Currently, if the daily rolling quote is 2335.1 to 2336.1 and if it is believed the index may go up, it is best to speculate at 2336.1 as this will be 6 pounds per point.
If the index moves up, the trader should try to take profit when the quote reaches 2387.3 to 2388.3. He would then close at 2387.3. The profit calculation is easy. He gets 6 pounds per point for each point when the index moves favourably. The number of points in the example is 51.2 points. The profit here is 307.20 pounds.
The real danger here is that the market may move in the opposite direction and this will result in a value dip. In this situation it is advised to cut the loss and close at 2321.2. The total loss here will be 89.40 pounds.
The NASDAQ 100 is also known as the USTECH Index. It is a price-weighted index and composed of hi-tech companies. The securities of the top 100 companies listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange are included and these are generally non-financial in nature.
It was founded in 1985 and has always receved the interest of such investors who seek profit from the movement of tech products like the Apple iPhone. It is not impacted by market makers, but breaking news and events related to technology, taxes, incentives and other factors directly affect the index.
