We found 11 online brokers that are appropriate for Trading Stock Brokers.
Many seasoned investors buy undervalued stocks which are, at the time, priced less than their intrinsic value. In simple terms, traders buy the stocks at a discount. In this article, titled 'Undervalued Stocks', we will try to make a useful list of some of the best undervalued stocks in 2020.
Before we proceed, let us understand a few more details about undervalued stocks.
There are a couple of stockbrokers who offer such undervalued stocks at zero percent commission. Find one such broker, and open an account. Select the stocks by clicking 'Buy', then click on 'zero leverage'. If CFD is chosen, it is suggested to use tools like 'Stop Loss', 'Take Profit', 'Leverage of 2x or more', and so on.
Some good examples are required here, so we have compiled a list of the top 5 undervalued stocks of 2020.
Its shares were priced at 220 pounds at the beginning of 2020. In August, the price dropped to 37 pounds. This means there was a decline of more than 83 percent in a trading period of only six months. The reason is simple. The UK cinemas were shut during that period, and the company was finding difficulty meeting debt obligations. The prices were further impacted when new movies were released on TV, following the team-up of 'AMC Entertainment' and 'Universal Pictures'. Now, movies are landing on 'Amazon Prime Video', 'Netflix', and other platforms. This is not ideal for cinemas.
However, it can be said that the decline could be a substantial overreaction, and hence, the shares are now undervalued. The prices may return back to normal and it would be no surprise if they do.
The online retailer in the fashion industry enjoyed some profitable time on the AIM exchange. 'Boohoo' was first listed in 2014, and the price at that time was 70 pounds per share. Since then, the prices kept moving upward. In July 2020, it reached 433 pounds, which means a 518 percent growth in a period of six years.
However, a news scandal, claiming that slave-like working conditions existed in 'Boohoo' factories, forced the prices to decline. It tumbled to 224 pounds due to a mass sell-off. However, some say that the sell-off is a major overaction.
Despite all of this, markets have a short memory, and the shares recovered 19 percent to 267 pounds.
BP shares are heavily undervalued. At the beginning of 2020, its price was more than 500 pounds, but with tourism coming to a standstill due to Coronavirus, its stocks crashed, and reached a 52-week low at 222 pounds. It lost 55 percent within a month.
Meanwhile, 'Brent Crude Oil' hit lows of $19 per barrel in the month of April. Later, the break-even price was reported at $35 per barrel. In August, it was more than $45 per barrel. All these turned into welcomed news to BP investors.
Since that time, BP shares have been slowly recovering, and are currently trading at 313 pounds.
In August 2020, the capitalization of British-American Tobacco was a little more than 58 billion pounds. However, currently it is the most undervalued stock. The price now is 2.562 pounds. In 2017, the stocks were at a high of 5,578 pounds.
However, it should not be forgotten that tobacco is always in high demand, irrespective of the economy.
This one may be surprising. The US-based, electric car company was launched in 2003, and released its IPO in 2010, at $17 per share. In 2020, the stocks hit 52-week highs, and were traded at $1,794. This means gains of more than 10,000% in a period of just ten years. In July, it was announced that the company would become the most valuable global carmaker. It also overtook the Japanese manufacturer, 'Toyota'.
In August 2020, the price was $1,487 per share. A bit of an upside can be seen if the growth reaches a 52-week high again.
The company has long-term potential, and it is just at the start of its car manufacturing journey. This means, revenues are just a fraction, and more growth can be expected.
Undervalued stocks can be the best option for many investors, as many companies have the potentiality of regaining their previous highs. Sometimes top-level companies underperform, the reasons could be anything from unpredictable events like a pandemic, or price changes in related products. In this article, we discussed five such undervalued stocks which surprisingly went undervalued.
Beginners are advised not to opt for undervalued stocks, unless ample experience is gained. It is not always easy to predict whether the share prices of undervalued stocks will increase in the near future.
