We found 11 online brokers that are appropriate for Trading Stellar Investment Platforms.
When Stellar Lumens was first launched in 2017, it became very popular with crypto investors. It quickly made its way into the top 10 cryptocurrencies. However, it failed to keep this uptrend and entered into bearish territory.
There was nothing worthwhile to report about XLM, but that has changed recently. Since the start of the year, XLM/USD has entered a strong bull trend, and at the time of writing, the price is almost up by 400%. When we compare the performance of Stellar Lumens with other altcoins, one can see that XLM has performed well.
Jed McCaleb is the man behind the launch of this coin. It was officially launched in 2014, and since that time, the coin has seen its fair share of ups and downs. McCaleb was also the co-founder of Ripple and that can be seen in this project. Stellar Lumen's potential market is also instant cross-border payments, just like Ripple. The significant difference between both is that Ripple targets banks and institutions.
On the other hand, Stellar Lumens is behind Ripple in terms of contracts. XLM's main focus is the general public and offering a way to send and receive payments for the unbanked population. Sending and receiving payment in both XRP and XLM is fast and carries minimum fees.
Another difference between XRP and XLM is that XRP is centralized while XLM is decentralized. There is no single party or organization that controls XLM. It is the general public that controls it just like BTC, LTC, etc. You can think of XLM as more of a people person, while XRP only hangs out with the rich guys.
In the start, the supply of Stellar Lumens was 100 billion, and all of it was mined before the coin went public. Later, the supply was halved to 50 billion coins based on the public's vote.
From these 50 billion coins, only around 20 billion are being actively traded and used by the general public. The Stellar foundation holds the remaining 30 billion coins, which it plans to use for promoting XLM.
Stellar Lumens also partnered with the tech giant IBM on a project which shows that the coin has potential.
Since the start of 2018, XLM/USD was in a strong downtrend which saw the price go from a high of US$0.41 to a low of US$0.03 (March 2021). From the low of $0.03, XLM has staged an impressive recovery and is trading at $0.60 at writing. That's a gain of more than 2000% which is more than what we have seen in Bitcoin and other big names.
Now that the price is trading at an all-time high, one may wonder where it will go from here. If things keep going well for Stellar Lumens, it has the potential to reach $1 per coin.
Want to know where it is headed? Well, we have collected the predictions from various sources so you can get an idea about its future movement.
EFA (Economy Forecast Agency) uses a model for predicting the future prices of many cryptocurrencies. According to them, XLM can reach US$0.64. The price of XLM/USD is already around US$0.60, so it is only a matter of time before it hits the projected price.
CryptoGround thinks that the target of US$0.74 in near future is very much possible.
The two predictions above are very modest and only targeting short-term yield.
Another website named PrimeXBT thinks very highly of the Stellar Lumens and thinks that it has the potential to reach US$1 in 2024.
In 2024-2025, they expect the price to drop down to US$1 per coin. After this, a move targeting the US$10 will happen which will take it to new heights.
Several analysts think that the future looks bright for the XLM if things go smoothly for the Stellar Lumens as well as the rest of the crypto world. According to history, crypto-assets enter in a bullish trend as a whole, and the same is true for the bearish trend.
If we do not see any legislation that negatively impacts the crypto world, then who knows, it might touch the price of US$10 in 2024-2025.
I, personally, think that the current pandemic is what's causing such a surge in the prices of cryptocurrencies. People are losing faith in traditional currencies as a store of wealth. With rising inflation and lots of free time on people's hands (due to lockdowns and job cuts), more people are moving towards crypto assets.
Once the whole coronavirus situation gets under control, we may see a healthy correction in many crypto assets.
