We found 11 online brokers that are appropriate for Trading Pips Trading.
In learning trading, there are many terms that must be recognised especially the basic terms such as pip and contract size in Forex trading.
Before you get further involved in the world of trading, you need to understand that every transaction will be carried out with these two terms.
Be aware that in seconds the exchange rate of each currency pair will always change. And of course, this change is what traders use to take advantage. Also be aware that the value of the smallest price movements of each currency pair is indeed different.
Pip is short for Point in Percentage.
Forex traders use a PIP as a single measurement unit to determine a currency pair value change.
For example, let us look at GBP / USD as a currency pair. In GBP / USD the smallest price movement or 1 pip is 0.0001, so when the GBP / USD exchange rate increases from 1.8000 to 1.8001, then you could say the price of the GBP / USD exchange rate is up 1 pip.
And pip of course can multiply, if the GBP / USD exchange rate increases from 1.8000 to 1.8005, then you can call the GBP / USD rate increasing 5 pips.
As another example, you can observe the exchange rate of USD / JPY whose movement per pip is 0.01. If the USD / JPY exchange rate decreases by 0.10 from 5.00 to 4.90, then you could say that the movement of the USD / JPY rate decreases by 10 pips.
This confirms that this pip is indeed different in each currency pair.
Now that you know that pip is the smallest movement of any currency pair, then you should also be aware that the terms are as important as the pip, which is contract size.
When you start to make transactions in Forex trading, you realize there is a minimum transaction of every trade that must be done.
This minimum transaction is called the contract size. There are three contract size terms that are most often used and of course each of these terms has a different standard.
Standard lots represent 100,000, mini lots represent 10,000 and micro lots represent 1,000.
Most brokers usually do not provide support for these three types of contract sizes, usually there are only one or two contract sizes that are supported, although there are some larger brokers who provide support for these three types of contract sizes.
For instance, you can look at a broker that provides micro lot support or represents 1,000 and you choose to buy the currency pair GBU / USD of 1 micro lot or 1,000.
A few minutes later the movement of the GBU / USD exchange rate has risen by 15 pips (0.0015), to calculate the profit, you should multiply the contract size purchased by the number of pips that move. The profit you get is 1 micro lot (1,000) x 15 pips (0.0015), which is 1.5 USD.
After learning about the terms pip and contract size, you can start planning to determine what strategies are suitable for getting maximum profit.
There are many discussions related to Forex trading for a certain number of pips in a day, this strategy is claimed to be able to provide definite results of profit to daily traders which is certainly not a strategy you should immediately believe.
Use a test account to test new strategies before using them in day-to-day trading.
An example is a Forex trading strategy of 5 pips a day whose basic principle is to make 5 pips a day in a short period. Of course just making a target number of pips a day is an unrealistic act because there are many aspects to consider.
Traders should focus more on completing plans that are made instead of focusing on the number of pips you would like to receive.
Trading using small leverages is also more reliable in generating positive profits. Forex trading with 5 pips a day will not be suitable for use in currency pairs that have high spreads because traders will be hit by losses faster.
As a strategy that utilizes trends, this strategy is not suitable for flat or range markets because traders will often get false trend signals. This strategy is best used when the London and New York markets are open.
The advantage of these 5 pips a day strategy is that it is simple and easy to follow even for novice traders who have no experience.
In market conditions that are clearly trending, this trading strategy is very effective in gaining profits and the possibility of risk received by traders is very small. With a target of only 5 pips, this number is more likely to be achieved than 50 or 100 pips.
