We found 11 online brokers that are appropriate for Trading NASDAQ And NASDAQ 100 Platforms.

NASDAQ is a stock exchange and is positioned as the second-largest in the world. NASDAQ 100, on the other hand, is a stock index and a product of the stock exchange. It tracks the performances of the 100 largest companies listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
While discussing the difference between NASDAQ and NASDAQ 100 let us understand the NASDAQ stock market first. Based in New York City, it is an American stock exchange owned by Nasdaq, Inc. and it is ranked next to the New York Stock Exchange with respect to market capitalisation.
Initially, it was an abbreviation for the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation. The National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) was first founded it in 1971. The NASD is currently called the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
NASDAQ became the first electronic stock market in the world but initially used to simply provide a quotation system. Until 1987 it was referred to as OTC in the monthly Stock Guides of Standard & Poor's Corporation and media reports. Gradually, it added trade and became more of a stock market. It traded 37 percent of the domestic securities market in 1981 and 46 percent by 1991.
It facilitated online trading in 1998 and became the first platform to do so in the US. It captioned the service as a stock market for the next hundred years. During the dot-com bubble it attacked many companies and proved huge success.
The main index of the stock exchange is the NASDAQ Composite. There are two more stock exchanges, and these are The NASDAQ 100 Index which contains 100 largest companies listed and the NASDAQ Financial Index which accommodates only the financial companies.
The NASDAQ 100 is the main US stock index of NASDAQ top 100 US companies. and was created in 1985. It contains up to 100 of the largest companies listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange and is based on market capitalisation. It excludes financial companies as these are categorised in a separate index called the NASDAQ Financial 100.
The companies included in it range from retail, to technology, the industrial sector, telecommunication, healthcare, transportation, biotechnology, media and service industries. The mortgage loan companies, brokerage firms, insurance firms and banking companies are not included.
NASDAQ 100 is different from other indices like the S&P 500 Index and the Dow Jones Industrial Average. It incorporates nine foreign companies, and data of December 2020 reveals that these are Atlassian from Australia, Check Point from Israel, ASML Holding and NXP Semiconductors from the Netherlands, and Baidu, NetEase, JD.com, Trip.com Group and Pinduoduo from the Cayman Islands.
The easiest way to become a part of this all, is to invest through ETF's and index funds. Buying shares of these means buying a portfolio of securities. Two of the best known ETF's are the QQQ and TQQQ. These track the NASDAQ 100 performances and are heavily traded in the US.
The QQQ duplicates the index and its AUM is more than $180 billion. The TQQQ is a leveraged ETF and uses advanced trading techniques, mainly focusing on triple the daily returns of the index. This means 1 percent gain in the index is translated as a 3 percent gain. Similarly, a 1 percent decline would be a 3 percent drop.
The QQQ is considered as a safe ETF while the TQQQ is said to be a risky ETF as it is a highly speculative investment. Its AUM is $12.5 billion.
Investors need to understand that past performances may not guarantee that the same may repeat in the future. It is always suggested to either consult a financial advisor or gain good experience before investing in the TQQQ ETF.
NASDAQ is an American stock exchange and is ranked next to the New York Stock Exchange with respect to market capitalisation. It created NASDAQ Composite during inception and the NASDAQ 100 Index in 1985. The index is composed of 100 of the largest companies listed on the stock exchange. Investment in the index is safest through ETF's.
