We found 11 online brokers that are appropriate for Trading Best Forex Indicator Investment Platforms.
When a trader first starts his trading career, it can become an overwhelming experience to see tons of different trading indicators. Most newbies make the mistake of adding all types of indicators. Doing this makes it hard to understand what's going on & even makes the charts look ugly.
For best results, it is best only to use a handful of indicators that are popular and are also used by other traders. There is no point in finding an indicator that no one uses. The major benefit of using a popular indicator is that lots of people use it - As such, price reacts a lot depending on the indicator output data.
The rule of 'keeping it simple' is essential for trading. Most traders try to overcomplicate things by adding tons of different indicators. They believe that by doing that, they can get ahead of the market. However, the opposite is true for trading.
For best results, a simple strategy must be used with only a couple of indicators. This allows a trader to make quick decisions without getting double-minded from mixed signals of various indicators.
Looking for the best indicator is like searching for a formula to make gold. There is no need to go full alchemist for hunting a good indicator. Almost any indicator can be a good indicator if the trader knows what he is looking at.
Some of the famous indicators used in stocks, forex, and other markets are:
and many more...
Today, we will only take a look at RSI, BB, and MA indicators and how to use them correctly:
It is a type of oscillator and one of the most famous ones among other oscillators. This indicator can be used to check oversold and overbought conditions. Another way of using RSI is to check the strength of a trend (bullish or bearish).
On all trading platforms, the following settings of RSI are available: Source, periods, and levels.
Commonly, candle close prices are used as the source for RSI. As for periods, a value of 14 is widely used. The levels are usually 30 and 70.
When the RSI line crosses above the 70 lines, it means that the underlying asset is overbought. On the other hand, an RSI value below 30 means an oversold condition.
Common practice is to look for signs of weakness on the charts once RSI crosses above 70. Selling an asset just because RSI is above 70 is not a good strategy at all. Sometimes, the price can keep on rising despite the high levels of RSI.
The same is true for RSI values below 30. At this stage, a trader can start looking for bullish signs on the chart for entering a long trade.
Bollinger Bands (BB) is a volatility indicator that is used to check the upper & lower range of a financial instrument. BB paints three lines on the chart: upper band, middle band, and lower band.
On all trading platforms, the following settings of BB are available: Source, Periods, and Standard Deviation.
Commonly used values for the settings are:
source: close, Periods: 20 and Standard Deviation: 2.
A common strategy is to sell once the price closes outside the upper band. Similarly, an asset can be bought once the prices closed outside the lower band. However, this strategy only works in range-bound market conditions. During strong bullish trends, prices can keep going higher and can consecutive close outside the upper band. The opposite is true for the bearish trend.
A moderate approach is to look for signs of weakness once the price closes outside the upper band. Similarly, one should look for signs of strength once the price closes outside the lower band.
To say that the Moving Average (MA) is the champion of trading indicators would not be wrong. These are very versatile indicators and can be used to find support, resistance, trend, and even for setting TP (take profit) and SL (stop loss) levels.
The basic function of MA is to find the current trade. If the price trades above the MA line, it means a bullish trend. However, if the price is below the MA line, it means a bearish trend.
Source and periods are the two settings for Moving Average (MA). In the source, the most commonly used setting is 'close'. As for periods, the most famous values are 10, 20, 50, 100, and 200.
A higher value can tell the long-term direction of the market. On the other hand, a small value can tell the short-term trend of the market.
As mentioned earlier, it is best only to add a handful of indicators on the charts. Clutter-free charts will allow a trader to make a more informed decision & also to keep looking at the candles. A combination of RSI, Moving Average, & Bollinger bands is more than enough to check the trend, support/resistance, and oversold/overbought conditions of the market.
