The eToro Popular Investor program is a popular feature of the platform and it basically is equipped with four levels - Cadet, Champion, Elite and an advanced version of Elite known as Elite Pro.
Each level is different from the other levels with respect to benefits and requirements. Here we will discuss these in detail.
Your eToro profile needs to be completed before applying for the eToro Popular Investor program.
To do this, a trader needs to verify the account and then add his actual image. Following this, sharing of a name is mandatory and this can be done via the settings.
A small bio is a humble requirement describing trading strategy and how to trade copiers, both existing and upcoming.
Next you would need to click on the 'agree voluntarily to the requirements of Responsible Trading'.
The below criteria needs to be fulfilled to be accepted to the basic level of eToro Popular Investor program:
Positions should not exceed the leverage that is properly explained in the Responsible Trading requirements.
The risk score must not be more than 6 in the past two months (non-consecutive) before applying to the eToro Popular Investor program.
The monthly loss must not be beyond 20% in the period of the past six months. However, if the market experiences such a level of fall, this factor can be ruled out.
Copying of other users must not exist.
The Stats page must show trading of a minimum of 2 months in the trading history.
The minimum average equity in the account must be of $1,000.
There must be at least one verified copier and the minimum AUM should be $500.
The above criteria are for the Cadet level. To enter the Champion level then follow the below criteria:
The trader needs to be at least at Cadet eToro Poplar Investor level for 2 or more months.
The average equity in the account should be at least $5,000.
Ten or more average daily verified copiers are required with a minimum of $20,000 as an AUM.
Champion eToro Popular Investor accounts are eligible to receive a monthly payment of $400.
This can increase to double if the AUM growth is 1% or more in the previous month.
Apart from fixed payment, a reimbursement provision of up to $100 is there on books related to investment and trading. There are more benefits including fee-free withdrawals.
For the Elite level you would require the below criteria:
The trader would need to be at a level of Champion eToro Popular Investor for at least the past four months.
The average equity required is $25,000 or more and AUM must be at least $500,000.
The Elite eToro Popular Investor accounts are eligible to receive a monthly payment of 1.5% of their yearly average AUM. This can be 2% if the AUM growth is 1% or more in the previous month.
In addition to this, a reimbursement provision of up to $100 is available for books related to investments and trading.
There are further benefits including fee-free withdrawals and Guru Focus premium membership.
Next is the Elite Pro, the highest level in the eToro Popular Investor program. The criteria required is listed as below:
You will require at least two months of the Elite level to be able to move into the Elite Pro eToro Popular Investor level.
The account must have average equity of $50,000 or more and the AUM need to be at least $10,000,000.
The Elite Pro eToro Popular Investor accounts are eligible to receive a monthly payment of 2% of their yearly average AUM. This can be 2.5% if the AUM growth is 1% or more in the previous month.
Other than that a reimbursement provision of up to $100 is available for books related to investment and trading.
There are again further benefits including fee-free withdrawals and GuruFocus premium membership.
It is important to take note that the change in the level takes place after the monthly payments of eToro Popular Investor accounts are made.
This is usually within the 10th of each month and the payment is based on the data of the previous calendar month.
The eToro Popular Investor program is very popular among experienced traders and benefits with social trading features of the platform.
Both the investors and traders play active roles of opinion leaders and this is a great way to earn a second income by receiving monthly fixed payments at various levels.
The eToro Popular Investor program simultaneously helps traders to promote themselves on a personal level. It is an empowering feature with many benefits.
One can also extend reach by meeting more copiers and hence earning bigger commissions.
The highest level earns the maximum and hence it is suggested to carefully and honestly meet the requirements to reach the Elite Pro eToro Popular Investor level.
