We found 11 online brokers that are appropriate for Trading CTrader Platforms.
As the name implies, FxPro cTrader is the application for trading the markets. Besides the cTrader, FxPro offers other platforms such as MT4, MT5, and others. Today, we will explore the cTrader and people's commonly asked questions about this platform.
Once an account is created, the cTID and the relevant information are sent via email. To log in, you will need your login information of cTrader, and that is why we recommend saving this information. Using the cTID, one can access all the connected live and demo accounts using a single login and password.
The email address (registered) attached to your profile will be the email of your cTID, and once an account is made, traders can also change the password based on their choice. According to information, users can also switch between different cTrader accounts present in their profiles.
Some traders also wonder how they can close a position in the cTrader. That is why one should start with a demo account to explore the basic features and how to conduct the primary trading activity.
To close a position on cTrader, locate the window which says Trade Watch. You can click on the close button to exit/close a position within that window. According to developers, the Trade Watch can be found at the bottom portion of the screen.
Traders can decide whether they want to close one particular position or all the open positions. A trader needs to click on the Close All button to close all open positions.
Another way to close the trade is by using the QuickTrade feature. Besides that, other features include double click and single-click trading, offering trade functionality.
Just like there are different ways to close a position in cTrader, there are many options when it comes to creating a new order or opening a new position. A shortcut that can prove to be very useful in cTrader is the F9 button on your keyboard.
By clicking the shortcut F9, a 'Create Order' window can be accessed. Another way to open a new order is to locate the watchlist and click on the icon present above it. The watchlist is usually present on the left side of the platform.
Another way is to click on any valid and available instrument present in the watchlist. Then you can click on the icon which says New Order to proceed. You can also buy and sell directly by clicking on the Buy and Sell buttons if you want another option. These buttons can be found at the chart's top and show the related bid/ask prices.
Pending orders are those orders which stay pending until the conditions are met and can even expire. cTrader also offers the option to place pending orders and can be accessed by opening the window 'Create Order.' Once you have opened the Create Order window, click on the desired pending order (stop order or limit order), select symbol, relevant price (limit), expiry time and date, volume, and the relevant levels (take profit (TP)) and stop-loss (SL). After providing this information, click on Buy or Sell to continue.
Another way to place the pending orders is by accessing the market depth window. Pending orders can also be accessed by clicking anywhere on the chart (right mouse click) to make things easier.
A situation can arise where you need to modify the order in cTrader. You can easily modify or even delete an order within the platform.
To get started, go to the Trade Watch tab and locate the window which says Orders. Within that tab, you can see all the pending orders. Click on the relevant order that needs to be deleted or modified and select the appropriate option (Cancel or Modify).
If you select the Modify option, another window will appear through which you can specify the parameters (updated) for your pending positions or orders. Similarly, clicking on the Cancel button means removing the order from the relevant list.
Earlier, we mentioned single and double click trading. If this option is not enabled on the cTrader, you can easily turn it on.
To get started, go to the cTrader settings by clicking on the icon which appears on the left side (bottom). Then, navigate to the tab which says QuickTrade, and select the option for either double click or single-click trading. From inside that menu, you can also check whether the other options, such as QuickTrade, are enabled or disabled.
If the QuickTrade is disabled, you will be presented with a pop-up box to ensure that either you want to confirm the trading activity or not. Another useful feature is setting up some default parameters (values) for the TP and the SL of orders.
cTrader is providing tough competition to MT4 and other trading platforms for the right reasons. That is why one can find that the list of brokers which offer this specific platform is growing.
